Job Description

We are seeking undergraduate/graduate co-op student to help accelerate ViiV's transition from AI exploration to real-world activation.

This role is hands-on and focused on building, testing, and implementing AI-enabled solutions in partnership with business and data teams.

This is a high-impact opportunity to work on a real AI implementation challenge inside a commercial healthcare environment. Co-ops will gain experience at the intersection of AI, business strategy, responsible governance, and healthcare execution. The work will be visible, practical, and outcome-oriented: successful interns will leave with tangible examples of how they helped move a business from AI experimentation to repeatable AI-enabled execution.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Build and test AI-enabled proof points: Support the development of at least one priority use case, such as nurse contracting and remote injection mapping, using approved tools and data sources.
  • Research and evaluate tools: Assess AI, analytics, automation, and workflow tools for relevance, usability, security considerations, and fit within the 3-tier tool sandbox model.
  • Analyze data and generate insights: Clean, structure, and synthesize available datasets, market inputs, claims-related information, field feedback, and external benchmarks to identify actionable patterns.
  • Create prototypes and workflows: Develop practical outputs such as ranked target lists, mapping frameworks, dashboards, prompt libraries, agentic workflows, or lightweight automations that can be tested by business teams.
  • Document what works: Capture methods, assumptions, decisions, risks, limitations, and reusable templates so the Strike Team can convert the pilot into a repeatable playbook.
  • Support knowledge transfer: Teach as they build by preparing demos, quick-start guides, office-hour materials, and short training sessions for ViiV employees.
  • Operate within governance expectations: Follow all ViiV/GSK confidentiality, data access, Legal, Compliance, procurement, and responsible AI requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Health Analytics, Quantitative Management or similar disciplines.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools, prompt engineering, machine learning concepts, automation tools, or rapid prototyping methods.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and comfort working with ambiguous business problems.
  • Experience with data analysis, visualization, or workflow design; exposure to SQL, R, Power BI, Tableau.
  • Exposure to AI development tools: Claude, Chat GPT, Gemini.
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the 6 month co-op (September 2026 ~ March 2027).
  • Must have an activestudent status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoralcandidates are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to translate technical outputs into clear business recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation discipline, attention to detail, and willingness to work within governance and compliance constraints.
  • Interest in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, commercial strategy, market access, field execution, or responsible AI adoption.
Eligibility Requirements
  • Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.
  • Once your application is submitted, you will be prompted to complete our immersive GSK Digital Assessment. A passing score is required to proceed in the application process. After completing the assessment, a recruiter will review your application and contact you with next steps.
    • Please note: We recommend using your personal email when submitting your application as school emails tend to block external senders. If you do not receive an automated email after submitting your application, be sure to check your spam folder.
  • Atrium is committed to partnering with our clients to create inclusive work environments; to that end, if you need to request an accommodation to complete this application, please reach out to GSK@atriumworks.com.

Benefits
  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position.
  • GSK Interns and Co-ops are offered a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits. Please note, benefits eligibility determined the month following date of hire.
  • This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at GSK. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting.
