Position: Academic Tutor/Teacher (1:1 and small groups)

Job Type: Part-Time (August- June), In-Person, Grades K-12 available

Pay: $25-$50 per hour

We seek top-notch academic tutors to support our K-12th-grade students in several areas, including high-level math and science. The ideal tutors are knowledgeable, experienced, and professional, making learning fun, engaging, and able to work with a high degree of autonomy.


Key Responsibilities:

  •     Design and implement engaging and fun lesson plans tailored to various academic levels.
  •     Establish academic goals and milestones with students.
  •     Document and communicate progress reports.
  •     Provide a supportive and motivating environment for students to thrive academically.
  •     Keep the work/ classroom environment organized and clean.

Requirements

Instructor Qualifications:

  •     Completed Bachelor's Degree
  •     Teaching Credentials is a plus
  •     Minimum of two years of teaching/tutoring experience
  •     Experience working with neurodiverse students
  •     A fun, upbeat personality and strong interpersonal skills
  •     Passion for teaching and learning
  •     Impeccable time management & organization skills
  •     Ability to communicate effectively and compellingly
  •     Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
  •     Easy access to and proficiency with the Internet, email, and electronic communications
  •     Excellent references
  •     Must pass a background check
