Resurge Rehab & Therapy is actively seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to enhance our dedicated rehabilitation team located in Sterling, Virginia. • Implement tailored physical therapy treatment plans prepared by the supervising PT, adjusting techniques as necessary based on patient feedback and progress.
• Provide hands-on care, which includes administering therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance enhancement, and mobility support.
• Observe, document, and report on patient progress, responses to treatment, and any changes, ensuring thorough communication with the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and their families on safety protocols, home exercise programs, and strategies to promote continual engagement in rehabilitation.
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, therapy personnel, and wellness coordinators to guarantee comprehensive and continuous care.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation, adhering to Medicare and facility guidelines, to uphold compliance and quality standards.

The primary focus of our therapy services is on geriatric patients who may be facing various challenges related to mobility, balance, and functional independence. You will work with individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, or seeking improvements in their physical capabilities. Your expertise will play an integral role in helping these patients enhance their autonomy and enjoy a higher quality of life.

• Must have completed a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by a recognized institution.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Virginia is required.
• Current CPR certification or the willingness to obtain it upon hiring.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to collaborate effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
• A genuine commitment to improving the lives of older adults and a passion for promoting healthier, more active lifestyles.

• While not required, experience in geriatric or long-term care settings is preferred, highlighting your ability to connect with the patient population.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or similar documentation tools.

The salary for this position ranges between $60,000 and $75,000 per year, along with a competitive benefits package. This includes:
