Job Description
The Operations Manager will provide leadership and guidance to a specialized team in planning, organizing, and managing operations, ensuring chemical loading, warehouse activities, and related processes are performed in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Participate in budget preparation, management of profit and loss, and daily communication with customers and railroads on scheduling and other issues to ensure smooth and safe operation.
  • Provide "Worry-free Consistency" service to the customers on every shift every day.
  • Learn, implement, teach, and execute the S7 Operating System and 5S standards.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customer contacts.
  • Ability to understand the customer contract and rate structure.
  • Ability to delegate and utilize time management well.
  • Ability to develop and execute a business plan. (including budgeting, projecting, variance analysis, and cost management)
  • Ability to promote a safety culture where each Team Member has the value and attitude that unsafe behaviors and conditions will not happen on their shift.

Education & Experience
  • College degree preferred (AA or BA in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, or related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is a MUST!
  • 3+ years management preferred.
  • 5+ years of chemical loading experience preferred.
  • 3-5+ years' experience in transloading, warehouse, logistics. rail, trucking, refinery or terminal operations is a MUST!
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various climates.
  • Ability to work M-F 7am-5pm, including some weekends and nights to support our 24/7 operations.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements for the position.
  • Ability to meet requirements of pre-employment screening including but not limited to background and criminal history check, drug & alcohol testing, MVR, physical/FCE, etc.
