Outstanding opportunity to join our Consulting Operations team, which is a cohesive, high-performing group! Consulting Operations supports the practice by collaborating with all functional areas and enabling solutions that optimize resource and financial performance, minimize risk, and maximize client experience.

The Operations role is responsible for providing operational support to our leaders and service teams with a focus on - Strategic Leadership, Strategic Implementation and Operational Optimization. In this capacity, operations is accountable to ensure tools, processes, and systems exist and effectively support the delivery of quality services to RSM's clients.

Strategic Leadership

  • Support and Execution
    • Supports leadership and ensures the smooth functioning of the organization. Amplifying the leaders effectiveness and help translating strategic vision into action.
    • Act as a strategic partner, managing key initiatives, facilitating communication
    • Partner strategically with assigned Consulting Leader to develop leadership meeting objectives and agendas, facilitate leadership meetings, and provide management oversight to strategic and tactical imperatives.
    • Participate in and contribute to the development and execution of growth strategies.
  • Performance Analysis
    • Utilize performance reports and systems to turn financial data into insight, monitoring profitability and plan attainment, giving leaders the reporting they need to run the business.

Strategy Implementation Management

  • Initiative Management
    • Participate in turning strategic objectives into actionable initiatives, developing implementation plans and performance measurements for the ongoing success of the initiative. Recognizing and determining the appropriate corrective action to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope.
    • Provide interim hands-on leadership, management and oversight to troubled initiatives on an as-needed basis.
  • Change Management
  • Partner with Consulting Leaders to provide change management support for internal initiatives

Operational Optimization

  • Responsible for facilitating operational effectiveness with all internal functions, ensuring all supporting functions are in alignment with the business requirements.
  • Business Lifecycle Support - Provide business lifecycle process (lead generation to engagement closure) and systems knowledge support to consulting leaders and team members.
  • Act as an operations SME on technology deployments to ensure all business requirements are met.

Operational Team Management

  • Provide oversight, performance management, development, coaching and exit-counseling of assigned operational team members.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience working with management level individuals
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a professional services firm with experience in corporate development, transactions, and/or collaborating with the office of the CFO
  • Previous experience in managing others in a team environment - direct or indirectly
  • Experience in navigating in a matrix reporting environment solving/resolving complex issue
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong financial skills, including analysis skills

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $136,800 - $242,000

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
