We are currently seeking a Sr. Group Manager of Supply Chain, with a focus on Body in White and Vehicle Closures.  The Sr. Group Manager manages a team of Group Managers, Global Supply Chain Managers, and other key supply chain personnel functions, responsible for overseeing all company business with a suite of part families and critical global supplier partners.  The role is a key internal interface between Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality, Programs and Manufacturing responsible for delivering world class products at rapid speed for best in class commercial terms.  The Sr. Group Manager must identify, develop, and manage the global Supply Chain for their team and manage against the overall geopolitical, commercial, technical, and program-related Supply Chain challenges, ultimately aligning to Lucid priorities. The rockstar candidate will establish our global supply chain strategy, support cross-functional teams during the development and industrialization phases and drive sound business decisions throughout the product life cycle. 

You Will: 

  • Manage and mentor a team of supply chain professionals of various levels and career horizons 
  • Be the key escalation point for your team, and provide guidance to Lucid management to enable rapid decision-making based on a first-principles problem solving mentality 
  • Present upward status of objectives, strategies, and remedies to issues in such as manner as to influence cross-functional decision making and drive best-in-class outcomes 
  • Define the Sourcing strategies for your team, own decisions and resolutions, and ensure the team is closing on all applicable company and commercial goals 
  • Support team to thoroughly negotiate favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs and Engineering Services (NRE / EDT) 
  • Define supplier development actions and review supplier schedules to ensure rapid execution against company priorities 
  • Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as central point of contact for all commercial escalatons, including internal report-outs summarizing sourcing status, parts availability and cost status 
  • Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers to perform business and program reviews 

You Bring: 

  • Bachelors degree required, Masters or MBA strongly preferred 
  • 10-12 years Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience on related part families or commodity spaces with experience managing a team of direct reports 
  • Understanding in key manufacturing processes supporting the commodity 
  • Product launch experience from design through production 
  • Understanding of design and quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis.  Able to drive teams and garner executive support to resolve problems 
  • Coaching and mentoring acumen a drive for the success and growth of your team 
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem solving skills. Passion for results, strategy, and hands on execution. Creative, calculated risk taker with the ability to manage complex suppliers and resolve disputes while preserving relationships with suppliers and internal staff 
  • Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and program management capabilities 
  • Proficient in Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) 
  • Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively 
  • Ownership and commitment to your role and supporting teams success
