ROLE SUMMARY
The Local Restaurant Marketing Manager is the heartbeat of Nando's in the DMV community - a connector, storyteller, and brand ambassador who brings our culture to life outside the four walls of our restaurants. This role blends strategy with hands on execution, partnering closely with Patraos, Area Directors, and the Marketing team to drive local awareness, build community partnerships, and support restaurant level growth.
This Manager level role executes local marketing plans, amplifies national campaigns, and builds relationships that strengthen our presence across the DMV region. The LRM Manager trains restaurant leaders on local marketing best practices, supports events and activations, and ensures every touchpoint reflects the Nando's feel - warm, bold, and full of heart.
WHAT YOU'LL LEAD & DELIVER
Restaurant Marketing & Local Activation
  • Lead, coordinate, and actively participate in all local marketing initiatives across the DMV region.
  • Localize national campaigns and bring them to life in the community with creativity and cultural relevance.
  • Support Patraos with ordering materials, collateral, and campaign execution.
  • Respond to adhoc requests from Area Directors and Patraos, including voucher distribution, POS needs, and local collateral customization.
  • Partner with Nandocas to execute sampling events that spark curiosity and drive future visits.

Communication & Influence
  • Ensure all external messaging reflects Nando's tone of voice, values, and brand standards.
  • Promote marketing programs internally to build excitement, clarity, and buyin across field teams.
  • Help Area Directors and Patraos evaluate and prioritize local opportunities, guiding them toward initiatives with the highest ROI and strongest brand alignment.
  • Collaborate with Training to build regional training plans that bring LRM strategies to life at the restaurant level.

Community & Industry Engagement
  • Represent Nando's with pride at local festivals, community events, university activities, and industry gatherings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners - schools, universities, apartment communities, nonprofits, cultural organizations, and local businesses.
  • Support multicultural outreach efforts, especially with Black and Hispanic leaning organizations, ensuring our brand shows up with authenticity and respect.

Reporting, Insights & Knowledge Sharing
  • Analyze the effectiveness of local marketing initiatives and pilot programs, identifying trends and actionable learnings.
  • Present insights and best practices to leadership and share wins across the DMV region.
  • Monitor competitor activity and surface insights that may influence local strategy or operational decisions.

WORK ARRANGEMENT
This role is based in Washington, D.C. and includes regular onsite presence at our Restaurant Support Office, with flexibility to work remotely when the schedule allows. Onsite participation in team meetings and key touchpoints is required, and some schedule flexibility will be needed to support those commitments. You will have the option to work from home or at a local Nando's restaurant when you are not on business travel or required to be in the office.
PAY RANGE
$60,000 - $80,000 + Bonus
Compensation is based on experience, skills, internal alignment, and market considerations. The upper end of the range is reserved for candidates with extensive experience. This role includes a commission based bonus program.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of marketing experience (field or hospitality preferred).
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Strong collaborator who enjoys working with diverse groups and supporting team members.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and digital tools.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel between restaurant locations up to 50% of the time.
  • Flexibility to support night and weekend events as needed.

Salary Range is $89,250 to $127,050
