Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Position Details
Our group fitness instructors are the lifeblood of our fitness services by providing a welcoming, safe, and fun place to exercise at the Federal Way Community Center. They are responsible for learning the pre-choreography for the format they are teaching, providing accurate cueing, offering options to suit all exercise levels, and providing a WOW experience for members and guests. For those instructors not teaching pre-choreographed programs, they are responsible for the development of their format as well as bringing it to life in a safe, fun, and effective way. The Federal Way Community Center offers pre-choreographed programs through Mossa and Zumba. Other formats include SilverSneakers, Chair Yoga and Low Impact Circuit Training.
Education and Experience
Group fitness certification through Mossa, Zumba and/or SilverSneakers is required to teach those formats.
National group fitness or personal training certification or relevant experience required to teach other formats.
Must be First Aid & CPR certified.
Successful candidates for this position will be subject to a background check pursuant to RCW 43.43.832.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
