Job description

About the Role

As a Group Home Program Counselor (DSP), you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential group home setting. You’ll help people live safe, fulfilling lives while building trusting relationships that encourage independence and personal choice.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with daily living skills such as personal care, meals, and routines
  • Supporting medical needs and appointments
  • Following individualized support and behavior plans
  • Encouraging community involvement and social engagement
  • Completing routine overnight safety checks (for overnight staff)
  • Working collaboratively as part of a compassionate, supportive team

No two days are the same—and every day brings the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking reliable, compassionate individuals who are motivated to make a difference.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
  • Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR, and First Aid

Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful—but not required. We provide paid training to help you succeed.

Pay

  • $18.12 – $18.54 per hour
  • Additional $0.50 per hour with DDS Medication Certification
  • Certification can be obtained after hire if not already certified
