Position Type: Part-Time to Full-Time (based on class teaching load)
Summary:
As the Group Exercise Coordinator at Gold's Gym PNW, you will play a vital role in creating a dynamic and engaging fitness environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about fitness, group exercise, and Les Mills programming. You will be responsible for teaching group fitness classes and managing a team of instructors across 2 gyms. You'll assist in auditioning new instructors, hiring, scheduling, managing, and compiling class and attendance data. You'll dedicate between one and 10 hours per week to administrative tasks in addition to teaching your favorite formats at each gym.
Responsibilities:
  • Teaching: Conduct motivating group exercise classes, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Instructor Management: Recruit, hire, and train qualified instructors, and provide ongoing support and guidance to maintain class quality and consistency.
  • Scheduling: Develop and manage class schedules, ensuring a diverse offering of classes that cater to our members' preferences.
  • Auditions: Organize instructor auditions and evaluations, selecting the best talent to join our team.
  • Administrative Tasks: Dedicate time to administrative duties such as class scheduling, payroll management (as needed), and communication with staff, instructors, and members.
  • Member Engagement: Foster a sense of community among class participants and actively engage with members to ensure their fitness goals are met.

Qualifications:
  • Passion for fitness and a deep understanding of Les Mills programming.
  • Group exercise instruction certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, Les Mills, 200 Yoga RYT ) preferred.
  • Previous experience in teaching and coordinating group exercise classes.
