Their duties typically include tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, picking up litter, sweeping walkways, and cleaning restrooms or common areas. They may also handle basic repairs, seasonal landscaping, and ensure that outdoor spaces are safe and attractive for visitors or residents. At LSU / Nicholson Gateway, we're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping the community clean, orderly, and presentable.
The primary responsibility of this role is collecting, removing, and disposing of trash throughout the property. This position spends most of the day moving throughout the community, emptying trash, cleaning shared spaces, and addressing areas that need attention.

  • Cleaning and maintaining hallways, stairwells, elevators, amenity spaces, offices, and other shared areas
  • Preparing vacant apartments for new residents as needed
  • Identifying and reporting maintenance concerns, damage, or safety hazards
  • Assisting with community inspections, property cleanups, and special projects
  • Supporting the onsite team in maintaining a clean and welcoming resident experience
  • Maintaining cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment

  • Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
  • Ability to walk, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull items throughout the workday
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

What Success Looks Like
  • Trash is collected consistently and does not build up throughout the community
  • Dumpster areas, trash rooms, breezeways, and shared spaces remain clean and orderly
  • Litter and debris are addressed before residents need to report them
  • Common areas consistently look welcoming and well-maintained
  • Problems are identified before they become complaints
  • Team members know they can count on you

Why Join LSU / Nicholson Gateway?
  • Stable, full-time opportunity
  • Supportive team environment
  • Opportunity to work in a vibrant student housing community
  • Growth opportunities within a growing organization
