Job description

JM Family Enterprises is looking for an experienced Exterior & Grounds Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, appearance, and overall functionality of the exterior facilities and grounds. This role performs preventative maintenance, repairs, irrigation support, landscape upkeep, and campus improvement activities to help maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair exterior property assets, grounds, and common areas.
  • Support landscape maintenance, irrigation system operation, and water feature upkeep.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Conduct exterior cleaning activities, including pressure washing and site appearance improvements.
  • Assist with event setups, facility projects, and campus support activities.
  • Monitor grounds conditions and identify maintenance, safety, or appearance concerns.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to support grounds and landscaping services.
  • Document completed work and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Follow company safety procedures and support emergency response efforts when needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.
  • 1-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, grounds maintenance, landscaping, irrigation systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of exterior property maintenance, landscape care, and irrigation systems.
  • Experience using maintenance management or work order systems preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high-quality environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to accommodate weekend and overtime work to meet business and facility needs.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as required for the role.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to utilize mobile devices and facility management software for work order management and task tracking.
