Job description

Lake Ridge Golf Course, located in Woodbridge, VA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Grounds Crew Member! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
 
Compensation:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
 
Summary:
The Grounds Crew Member is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance of the golf course.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility 
  • Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas 
  • Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water 
  • Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed 
  • Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways 
  • Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds 
  • Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course 
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or manager
Qualifications and Skills: 
  • Must possess the ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course
  • Experience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferred 
  • Must possess the ability to create spray programs for the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping 
  • Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations 
  • Ability to give oral and written instructions 
  • Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation 
  • Must be dependable
