ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  We target a 2 patient per hour caseload per therapist once fully ramped up (1:2), with flexibility based on clinician preference, patient mix and support levels.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  We use Epic GardenPlot as our EMR and actively working on AI dictation and scribing to reduce documentation load.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  You will have a named mentor on your first day to help guide you in your ROC journey.

What would you do in this role?

Management

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Manage staff schedule to ensure adequate coverage and clinic flow and approve timecards accordingly;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Supervise and lead direct reports by motivating, inspiring, and supporting staff to a higher level of engagement, productivity, and quality outcomes;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Conduct performance reviews, review work and perform corrective action as necessary;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Provide training and other educational and development opportunities for direct reports;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Interview and select candidates to fill vacant support positions;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Resolve escalated situations as needed including complaints and incident reports from patients, direct reports, and physicians;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop and maintain effective communication within the organization;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Collaborate with other supervisor level staff within the organization;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Be a champion and a positive change agent for the organization's mission, vision, guiding principles and initiatives.ย 

Clinical

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Review physician's referral and patient's medical records and confer with patient and appropriate medical practitioners to plan, implement, and assess the intervention program;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Test, measure and record in patient's electronic medical record the patient's strength, motor development, functional capacity, sensory perception, and respiratory and/or circulatory efficiency;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Analyze patient progress and data, record in electronic medical record and modify interventions to achieve anticipated goals and expected outcomes, including referring to other practitioners as needed;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Educate patients about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote health;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Instruct patient in use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes as well as in treatment procedures to be continued at home;

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Discharge patient from therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained; provide for appropriate follow-up care or referrals.ย 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Nevada Physical Therapy license from Nevada State Board within 60 days of employment.

Experience:

oย ย  Directing employee's work including reviewing clinic flow and adjusting priorities;

oย ย  Deescalating tense situations with customers;

oย ย  Communicating effectively with all levels of employees (professional staff, managerial staff, front line staff, etc.) to resolve issues and concerns;

oย ย  Using computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Office, entering data and typing.

Note: This position may require travel to other Reno Orthopedic Center locations as needed by management.
