The ideal Systems Architect possesses expertise in designing resilient, scalable space system architectures that span space, ground, cyber, and communications domains, with specific experience in national security or classified space programs and are proficient in enterprise and mission-level architecture development, modeling and simulation, and requirements decomposition, with the ability to align technical solutions with strategic operational goals.

Essential Job Function
  • End-to-End Architecture Development: Design and maintain a resilient, scalable architecture that integrates space, ground, cyber, and communications systems to support SSC mission objectives.
  • Requirements Decomposition & Traceability: Translate high-level mission needs into architectural requirements and ensure traceability across system components and stakeholders
  • Modeling, Simulation & Trade Analysis: Develop architecture models and conduct trade studies to assess performance, resiliency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of alternative designs.
  • Technology Integration & Roadmapping: Identify and incorporate emerging technologies, ensuring architectural flexibility to support rapid insertion and future growth.
  • Cross-Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate across government, contractor, and mission partner teams to ensure architectural alignment, interoperability, and technical cohesion across all domains.
Minimum Qualifications
  • MA/MS with over 10 years of experience
  • Experience providing modeling and simulation support
  • Engineering and technical expertise for modeling, simulation, and analysis support for space defense efforts (Assessment of National Space Control Capabilities (ANSCC), Space Protection Program (SPP), Space Situational Awareness (SSA), National-level and Joint-level studies and analysis, as required
  • Executive Agent for Space Systems (EASS) expertise in the following areas: detailed working knowledge of modeling, simulation, and study activities
  • Expertise in performing and implementing National-level studies
  • Expertise and support in leading analysis of alternative and concept of operation type studies
  • Active TS/SCI
