Job Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma, GED or equivalent, preferred but not required.
  2. Excellent mathematical, communication and computer skills, be strongly detail oriented and be able to easily multi-task.
  3. Should be able to independently initiate, prioritize, and perform or solve work problems and ultimately achieve work objectives and meet deadlines.
  4. Must be able to effectively communicate in written and verbal form with co-workers, supervisor and management.
  5. Written skills are necessary to properly fill out paperwork.
  6. Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
  7. Follow written (Standard Operating Procedures -SOP's, company memos & emails) and verbal Instructions.
  8. Minimum of six months related experience with demonstrated aptitude to learn on-the-job.
  9. Familiarity with plant equipment operation and SOPs.
  10. Possess a strong work ethic to positively contribute to the company's mission, vision, values and environmental policy and quality policy.
  11. Must have a positive attitude, support co-workers to obtain desired objectives, and assist others in their contributions.
  12. Ability to sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time and access stairs and ladders.
  13. Ability to bend, stoop, squat occasionally to frequently.
  14. Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (in required areas) for extended periods of time.
  15. Ability to lift (up to 50 lbs), carry (up to 44 lbs) occasionally to frequently within normal limits.

Job Summary: This position's purpose is to weigh and cut product to meet production order specifications.

Job Duties:
  1. Record information from break down, pick sheet and the work log at the end of the day (including LBS before and after cutting and the variety).
  2. Activate machines and set up material for raw hop processing.
  3. Work with labeling and/or small pack for requests and double-checking the labels.
  4. Weigh, cut and package product efficiently and with the utmost accuracy
  5. Record the weight, temperature and moisture of product.
  6. Receive the imports for processing and packaging by the different weight adjustments.
  7. Label and re-label cut product for storage and shipment.
  8. Set up the bales by lot number as well as variety.
  9. Keep track of product by lot number, bale number and weight.
  10. Document daily process (density, temperatures, powder fines, moisture etc.).
  11. Make copies of paperwork required in the Plant (work orders, production logs, pick sheets etc.).
  12. Submit LBS processed to the supervisor.
  13. Execute all operations and packaging of product in a timely manner.
  14. Confer with department supervision or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
  15. Continuously look for ways to improve process efficiency and notify immediate supervisor of observations and recommendations.
  16. Meet with department supervisor and team members to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
  17. Work in conjunction with Lean Manufacturing Principles in the Pellet Plant.
  18. Maintain sanitary and safe work environment.
  19. Follow safety requirements.
  20. May actively participate on company's Safety Committee.
  21. Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
  22. Must have a complete understanding of company's policies, Employee Handbook, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department, to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability.
  23. Must adhere to all company policies.
  24. Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
  25. Follow all SOPs in a given area.
  26. Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee

  11. Realizar copias de la documentación requerida en la Planta (órdenes de trabajo, registros de producción, hojas de selección, etc.).
  12. Reportar al supervisor la cantidad de libras procesadas.
  13. Ejecutar todas las operaciones y el envasado del producto de manera oportuna.
  14. Consultar con la supervisión del departamento u otro personal para evaluar el progreso y discutir los cambios necesarios.
  15. Buscar continuamente formas de mejorar la eficiencia de los procesos y notificar al supervisor inmediato sobre observaciones y recomendaciones.
  16. Reunirse con el supervisor del departamento y los miembros del equipo para evaluar el progreso y discutir los cambios necesarios.
  17. Trabajar en conformidad con los principios de Manufactura Esbelta (Lean Manufacturing) en la Planta de Peletizado.
  18. Mantener un entorno de trabajo sanitario y seguro.
  19. Cumplir con los requisitos de seguridad establecidos.
  20. Puede participar activamente en el Comité de Seguridad de la empresa.
  21. Asegurar que se observen tanto las políticas de seguridad de la empresa como las regulaciones federales, estatales y locales en materia de seguridad y medio ambiente.

  23. Debe acatar todas las políticas de la empresa.
  24. Examinar documentos, materiales y productos, y monitorear los procesos de trabajo para evaluar su integridad, precisión y conformidad con los estándares y especificaciones.
  25. Seguir todos los SOP (Procedimientos Operativos Estándar) en el área asignada.
