Position Overview: The Ground Operations Supervisor oversees day-to-day ground handling activities, ensuring the safe and efficient operation ofaircraftturnarounds. This role involves supervising a team, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards.

Ideal candidates should have at least one year of ground handling or operations experience.

JobResponsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct ground handling staff duringaircraftarrivals, departures, and turnarounds.

  • Ensure safety and compliance with aviation regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

  • Coordinate the use of ground support equipment and resources to ensuretimelyoperations.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize delays and ensure smooth operations.

  • Monitor and report on operational performance, including safety, efficiency, and staffing levels.

  • Train and mentor ground operations team members tomaintainhigh safety and performance standards.

Safety, Security and Compliance:

  • Cooperate with their manager / supervisor to allow them to perform orcomply withany legal requirements imposed on the company.

  • Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment, or activity thatrepresentsa serious or immediate danger to health, wellbeing, safety, and security.

  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in company and carrier Safety and Security procedures.

  • Carry out workin accordance withinformation and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures.

  • Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies.

  • Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent;associate or bachelor'sdegree in aviationor related field preferred.

  • If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in ground handling or airport operations, with 1+yearin a supervisory role.

  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities; ability to manage operations in high-pressure environments.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity withaviationground handling procedures and safety protocols.
