Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize administrative processes across assigned stations, ensuring compliance with company policies, local regulations, and operational requirements.
  • Support the Head of Operations, The Americas in overseeing Area 1 Latin America stations, including OSSA, GSA, GHA, and subcontracted service providers.
  • Identify training needs, support station start-ups, negotiate handling agreements, and secure required licenses and permits.
  • Monitor administrative and operational expenses, enforce purchasing policies, and represent Cargolux in local meetings and industry forums as required
  • Ensure safe, secure, and compliant ground operations in accordance with company procedures, quality standards, and local/international regulations.
  • Oversee ground handling agents, trucking providers, and operational staff to maintain service quality and meet customer requirements, including special cargo handling.
  • Coordinate Road Feeder Services and manage supplier performance through SLA monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Ensure flight operations support services, including flight planning, crew coordination, weather and NOTAM services, are delivered in accordance with Cargolux and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with EASA documentation retention requirements and provide operational support and guidance to stations throughout the region
Essential requirements for the position:
  • Education in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in airline, cargo, ground handling, or airport operations.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, ground operations, safety, security, and quality standards.
  • Experience managing operational suppliers and stakeholders (Ground Handling Agents, GSAs, trucking companies, etc.).
  • Proven ability to supervise, train, and support operational teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in contract management, supplier performance monitoring, and budget control.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Latin America and internationally.
Working Conditions:
  • Frequent travel required within the entire allocated region.
  • Ability to travel internationally on short notice.
  • Full time position
  • The position holder is based in Houston, Texas.
  • The position demands a regular presence in the office and requires vacation and other absences to be planned so as to avoid conflicting with service needs.
  • Flexibility may be needed with working hours. The position holder shall keep informed their line manager on their whereabouts and the means of telecommunications through which they will be reachable for urgent company needs, while on company mission.
