Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Landscape Care & Lawn Maintenance: Perform routine turf care including commercial mowing, string trimming, lawn edging, and leaf blowing.
  • Detailing & Plant Health: Prune trees and shrubs, trim hedges, pull weeds, apply mulch, and maintain decorative plant/flower beds.
  • Debris & Property Clean-Up: Keep grounds, parking lots, walkways, and outer perimeters clean and clear of trash, fallen branches, and organic debris.
  • Equipment Care & Safety: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and commercial grounds equipment (e.g., zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws). Perform basic routine daily maintenance checks on assigned equipment and vehicles.
  • Compliance & Professionalism: Adhere to all safety guidelines and OSHA standards. Represent the company in a professional, courteous manner when interacting with clients, facility managers, or the public
  • Other duties assigned.

Qualifications: 

Experience: Previous experience in groundskeeping, janitorial work, sanitation, or municipal labor is preferred but not required (on-the-job training provided).

License: Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record (required for driving department vehicles/utility carts).

Physical Demands:

○ Ability to perform strenuous physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions (extreme heat, rain, cold).

○ Ability to repeatedly pull, lift, and carry heavy trash bags and containers weighing up to 50 lbs.

○ Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift continuously throughout a full shift.

Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to complete assigned daily park routes independently with minimal supervision.
