Ground Control personnel work in industries such as aviation, space exploration, and military operations. They play a critical role in ensuring smooth and safe operations by responding to incidents, analyzing data, and following protocols. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.

What are the typical responsibilities of ground control during a shift?

As a Ground Control professional, your main responsibilities include coordinating the movement of aircraft between gates, taxiways, and runways to ensure safe and orderly ground traffic. Job description

*This role is being filled directly. We do not accept unsolicited outreach from staffing agencies or third-party recruiters. Applications and referrals submitted by third-party recruiters will not be accepted, reviewed, or eligible for placement fees.

About the Role

We're hiring a Quality Control Supervisor to lead our inspection team and ensure every part we ship meets aerospace-grade standards. This is a hands-on, floor-based leadership role; you'll supervise Quality Inspectors, run first article inspections, and make sure nonconforming parts never make it out the door. If you know AS9100, love precision work, and want to lead a team on the floor, this is your role.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise and schedule a team of Quality Inspectors across assigned shifts
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products (tubing, assemblies, fittings, machined parts, castings) for conformance to drawings and specs
  • Lead First Article Inspections (FAI) and complete AS9102 Forms 1, 2, and 3
  • Oversee in-process and final inspection, plus functional testing of parts and assemblies
  • Generate Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and communicate findings to QA and area managers
  • Maintain calibration schedules for inspection and measuring equipment
  • Train inspectors on GD&T, inspection methods, and use of measuring instruments
  • Produce customer documentation including DIPs, FAIRs, and Certificates of Conformance
  • Flag process or supplier trends to Quality Assurance for follow-up
What You Bring
  • 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience in a quality control role, ideally in aerospace
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 inspection requirements and GD&T
  • Comfort reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges)
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Visual Manufacturing a plus)
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office 365 skills
  • Sharp attention to detail, you catch what others miss
  • Associate's degree, or higher, preferred; a field related to quality, engineering, or manufacturing is a plus.
Certifications
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar designation preferred
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt (minimum) is a plus

Why Work Here

  • Comprehensive medical coverage, vision, dental
  • Paid sick leave and paid vacation
  • 401k retirement plan
  • Costco membership

*This is an on-site position. We are currently unable to offer relocation assistance.
