Pay Rate Starting at: Level $18.50/ hr Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.

SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. ย The night crew assistant manager is responsible for overnight operation of the store. The night crew assistant manager should have full knowledge of product lines and location in store, as well as responsibility for receiving, stocking, rotating, cutting, and marking product.ย 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

aย ย  ย Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding nightly operations, safety, and sanitation
aย ย  ย Adhere to company policy through proper receiving, handling, storing, and stocking of product
aย ย  ย Assist the grocery department in achieving financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization, as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense
aย ย  ย Maintain proper shelf conditions in regards to pricing, cleaning, straightening, rotating, and facing of product
aย ย  ย Adhere to shelf management as it applies to following suggested plan-o-gram layouts and new/discontinued products
aย ย  ย Training, development and scheduling of night crew associates
aย ย  ย File all necessary paperwork required for the night crew department
aย ย  ย Help keep the backroom clean and orderly by organizing, making bales, stacking pallets etc.
aย ย  ย Direct subordinates in implementing plan of action and goal attainmentย 
aย ย  ย Take direction from the night crew manager and act in his or her place when absent

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

aย ย  ย Must be at least 18 years of ageย 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

aย ย  ย Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
aย ย  ย Possess basic computer skills
aย ย  ย Possess strong communication skills
ย
