Job description

Jonathan's Place is accepting applications for a full-time Residential Care Providers. Residential Care Providers will be responsible for daily care and supervision of residents placed in our GTP Program (Girls Treatment Program). This position serves as direct care staff in a residential setting for girls who are victims of abuse/neglect. The girl's range in age from 10-17.

Responsibilities Include:

  •   Engages in a trauma informed model of programming to provide physical and emotional safety for residents.
  •   Supervises residents in various activities in order to observe and promote positive social behavior effect changes in their social behavior.
  •   Models and teaches life skills to clients that will help them develop interpersonal relationships and social skills.
  •   Communication and computer documentation of resident activities and behaviors
  •   Administration of psychotropic medication and/or other prescribed medications.
  •   Monitor completion of daily hygiene routines/chores.
  •   Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
  •   Provide transportation and accompaniment to outside appointments (medical, dental, etc.)
  •   Other daily duties including meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping

Required Education and Experience:

  •  High School Diploma or equivalent.
  •  Minimum of one year of experience working with children who have experienced trauma.
  •  Knowledge of child development and behavior management.
  •  Valid Texas Drivers License
