Job description

Job Overview:

This role is responsible for the performance of Fernside Center for Grieving Children, Goldstein Family Grief Center, Chaplains, Social Workers, and Volunteers. Ensures achievement of strategic plan and pillar/scorecard goals. Plays a key leadership role in fundraising to sustain grief programs. Reports to HOC Navigators President & CEO. Serves as a member of the HOC Navigators senior leadership and management teams; serves as senior staff on the Fernside Board of Trustees and attends HOC Navigators Board of Trustee meetings.

Job Requirements:
Master's Degree In Healthcare Administration or business, nursing, counseling, therapy, social work, chaplaincy, or other service-related field. (Required)
7 - 10 years Progressive management experience required. Healthcare leadership background strongly preferred. (Required)
Excellent relational skills; outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Facilitates a high-performing team; drives results. TriHealth Way of Leading and Serving competencies.
Participates in local, regional, and national hospice & palliative care and grief organizations. Required
Job Responsibilities:
Grief Programs- Provides leadership to Fernside Center for Grieving Children and Goldstein Family Grief Programs; Drives innovative programming, operational and service excellence, and high engagement of team members and volunteers; Ensures strong brand awareness; Increases community awareness of grief programs and expands number of grieving people served; Facilitates fundraising to sustain programs; Serves as senior staff to Fernside Board. 
Social Workers and Chaplains- Provides leadership to social work and chaplain disciplines for hospice and palliative care programs; Ensures professional excellence, exceptional patient care outcomes and patient/family satisfaction. Leverages the therapeutic communication and counseling skills of these disciplines to foster a supportive, collaborative, and compassionate HOC Navigators work environment. 
Volunteers - Provides leadership to hospice and palliative care volunteer services, and integrative services including music, art, massage, and pet therapy. Ensures innovative programming and engagement of volunteers and integrative therapies to enhance the patient and family experience.

Lead monthly team meetings using meeting agenda template; review stoplight report; cascade key leadership messages.
