Grid Modeling involves creating digital simulations of power systems to analyze performance and reliability, while Substation Design focuses on planning and constructing physical substations. Both roles require electrical engineering expertise and are integral to power infrastructure, but they differ in scope—one is more analytical and simulation-based, the other more construction-oriented.

What is grid modeling?

Grid modeling is a process used in fields like electrical engineering and urban planning to create digital representations of power grids, transportation networks, or other interconnected systems. It involves using specialized software and data analysis to simulate, analyze, and optimize the performance and reliability of these networks. Professionals in this area often work with tools such as GIS and CAD software to develop accurate models for planning and operational purposes.
