Description
Greentek, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Equipment Operator/Scale Attendant to support daily operations at our green waste facility located in West Sacramento, CA. This role is essential to ensuring accurate load tracking, maintaining a safe and organized property, and assisting with equipment operation and basic maintenance. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
  • Previous experience in equipment operation and facility operations preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate an active yard safely.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
Scale Operations
  • Operate the inbound and outbound truck scale system accurately and efficiently.
  • Record load weights, customer information, and material types within established procedures.
  • Maintain organized and accurate scale-house documentation and digital records.

Site & Property Maintenance
  • Support daily site upkeep, including general cleanup, minor repairs, and hazard reporting.
  • Assist with traffic flow, signage, and maintaining a safe operating environment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the yard and report any issues promptly.

Equipment Operation
  • Safely operate equipment such as loaders, skid steers, and forklifts as needed.
  • Assist with material handling, loading, and overall site organization.
  • Follow all equipment safety protocols and operational guidelines.

Equipment Maintenance
  • Perform basic equipment checks including fluid levels, lubrication, and visual inspections.
  • Communicate maintenance needs or equipment concerns to supervisors or mechanics.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning equipment fleet.

Required Experience
  • Previous experience in equipment operation and facility operations preferred.
