Job description

Summary

The VIP Interiors Installer III is responsible for the installation, modification, and refurbishment of VIP luxury aircraft interior components in accordance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. This role requires precise craftsmanship, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-standard completion environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, fit, and assemble VIP aircraft interior components including panels, monuments, upholstery, cabinetry, flooring, and decorative finishes.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, installation instructions, and work orders accurately.
  • Ensure all installations meet quality standards, specifications, and FAA regulations.
  • Perform layout and preparation work, including measurements, marking, cutting, and pre-fitting materials and components.
  • Modify interior parts as needed, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve installation challenges and maintain schedule compliance.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to the standards required for VIP completions.
  • Assist in other production or support tasks as required by supervisors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in aircraft interiors or related field preferred.

Six years' interior install experience preferably in VIP or VVIP aircraft completions. Knowledge of aircraft cabin safety standards and FAA regulatory requirements is preferred.

US Citizen Required - this position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and verbally communicate).
  • Mathematical knowledge and ability to apply towards problem solving.
  • Exhibits hand-eye coordination skills.
  • Working knowledge of lean or other continuous improvement opportunity techniques.
  • Ability to interpret and understand engineering data, technical data, and work instructions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to work outside core business hours as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and installation documentation.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools related to interior installation and modification work.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance/able to lift up to 75-100 pounds with assistance.
  • Able to work in a non-dust-free environment.
  • Normal or corrected vision and color perception to perform precise installations and detailed craftsmanship.
  • Full range of motion with both hands.
  • Able to frequently bend, twist, crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl, and reach overhead—often in tight, confined, or elevated spaces or cramped areas.
