Job description

The Quality Assurance Tech will be responsible for all items to quality and overall controls, testing, as well as raw material usage throughout the plant. The successful candidate will be a high energy, self-directed, self-starter with the ability to adapt to changes in schedules/demands with minimal guidance and supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interface across multiple levels of the organization are a must
Schedule
2-2-3 Rotating Schedule
7pm-7am
Requirements
  • Monitors production process and collects necessary dimensional data.
  • Responsible for quality of strapping produced and/or rewound.
  • Responsible for the quality of all packaging requirements.
  • Inspects parts and quarantines non-conforming products.
  • Using a tape measure and micrometer inspects products to ensure they meet the specific dimensional criteria.
  • Inspects quality control and daily production paperwork to ensure they are completed properly and timely.
  • Communicates immediately with production operators regarding quality standards and out-of-speck product.
  • Follows all safety rules and wears required personal protective equipment.
  • Assists in maintaining housekeeping on the production floor.
  • Physical demand includes standing 100% of the time. Continuously inspects product before loaded on the skid. Eye, hand coordination required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Prior manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
