The Party Host is responsible for coordinating event logistics, managing flow and timelines, and responding to guest needs in real time. Serving as a key point of contact for vendors, entertainers, and internal staff, the Host ensures each event runs smoothly while maintaining a safe, high-quality experience for all guests. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.


Responsibilities

· Welcome and greet party and event guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and excited about their experience at Wollman Rink.

· Coordinate all aspects of each event, including setup, activities, guest flow, and cleanup, to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

· Assist with guest check-in and provide clear information about the day’s schedule, activities, and rink guidelines.

· Monitor the tent area, party spaces, and rink to help maintain guest safety and ensure adherence to all rink policies.

· Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest inquiries, resolving concerns, and accommodating special requests.

· Collaborate with rink staff and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food, beverages, and any additional services included in event packages.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

· Coordinate with the Director of Sales on logistics for specific events, client preferences, and VIP needs to ensure alignment and a high standard of execution.

· Oversee post-event breakdown, ensuring that all decorations, supplies, and materials are cleaned up, properly stored, or returned to designated areas.

· Gather guest feedback and report observations or concerns to management to support continual improvement of the event experience.

Requirements:

· Previous experience in event hosting or customer service is preferred, especially in a recreational, hospitality, or entertainment setting.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with guests of all ages in a friendly and professional manner.

· Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

· Enthusiastic and outgoing personality, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

· Physical ability to stand for extended periods and provide hands-on assistance to guests as needed.

· Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event scheduling needs.
