Job description

Green Bird is seeking a dependable and motivated Kitchen Line Cook to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing menu items, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and supporting efficient service in a fast-paced restaurant and golf simulator environment.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Operations & Food Quality

  • Prepare and execute menu items according to company recipes and standards
  • Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion sizes
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Keep kitchen workstations clean, organized, and properly stocked
  • Maintain the cleanliness and proper operation of kitchen equipment
  • Report equipment problems, maintenance concerns, or product issues to management immediately

Inventory & Preparation

  • Complete assigned prep lists before service
  • Assist with inventory organization and supply ordering
  • Ensure ingredients and kitchen supplies are properly stocked and ready for service
  • Follow proper food storage, labeling, rotation, and handling procedures
  • Help control food waste and protect product quality

Teamwork & Service

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Support fellow team members during busy service periods
  • Help train kitchen staff on recipes, plating, food preparation, and equipment use
  • Prepare orders accurately while meeting expected ticket times
  • Complete assigned kitchen opening and closing procedures

Schedule

Green Bird will employ three kitchen cooks to provide coverage during operating hours. Work schedules may vary based on customer demand, events, staffing needs, and business operations.

Applicants must be available for a combination of:

  • Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
  • Weekends and holidays as needed
  • Opening and closing shifts
