Position Summary:

The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, assisting with food service, and providing excellent guest service. The ideal candidates will have bartending experience, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a strong focus on guest satisfaction, responsible alcohol service, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Reports to: Food & Beverage Director and Food & Beverage Services/Sports Center

Supervises: None

Employment Status: Seasonal


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve beverages to members according to recipes and special requests.
  • Serve food to guests in the bar area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies.
  • Engage with members and guests, making recommendations and discussing specials.
  • Provide service for club events, including setup, execution, and takedown.
  • Handle cash and member accounts using the Club's Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Ensure excellent service in all areas, including the bar top, dining spaces, and golf simulator area.
  • Adhere to alcohol service regulations and ensure responsible service.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties.
  • Assist with food runner and busser duties as needed.
  • Support a team-oriented atmosphere and embrace feedback for growth.


Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of bartending experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess or obtain a Wisconsin Responsible Beverage Server Certificate and Operator’s License.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and compliance with, all applicable health regulations and liquor laws.
  • ServSafe certification preferred.
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide outstanding guest service.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and bend, stoop, and climb as needed during the shift.
  • Safely use and operate bar equipment, including lifting beer kegs and CO2 tanks.
