Job description

Expertise:

  • HVAC Design- Ductwork, piping, and equipment sizing and selection
  • Direct expansion (DX) equipment, VRV/VRF air conditioning systems design and central chilled water and heating water plants
  • Perform heating and cooling load calculations
  • New building and remodel construction design

Strengths:

  • Familiar with Trane Trace and Carrier HAP programs
  • Performing design calculations and equipment selection and layout of HVAC equipment
  • Heating (gas or heating water) and cooling (chilled water) central plant system design
  • Experience with building energy performance software, comcheck, rescheck and green building certification criteria, such as LEED
  • Knowledgeable of project design phase deliverables
  • Knowledgeable of basic electrical and plumbing general requirements for discussions with Owners, Contractors, Architects, and Code Authorities
  • Knowledgeable of construction administration responsibilities including submittal review, RFI responses, performing site visits and writing field reports
  • AutoCAD proficient; Revit experience is a plus!
  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, EIT or P.E. license preferred
