Job Description
Part-time Office Support Staff- Winnemucca
Great Basin College is seeking a part-time employee to provide front office and testing support at the Winnemucca Center.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Proctor exams while maintaining the security and confidentiality of all testing materials.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Assist students with basic computer usage and navigation.
  • Answer phones and greet visitors.
  • Accept forms and other documents.
  • Schedule advising appointments.
  • Direct students and visitors to the appropriate college departments and resources.
  • Assist front office staff with daily operations.
  • Operate general office equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, and scanners.
  • Provide encouragement and positive support to students.

Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Basic computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office and general office equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Position is based at the Winnemucca location and runs from August to December for the fall semester, and January to May for the spring semester.
Schedule varies between the hours of 8am-8pm, Monday through Thursday and 8am and 5pm on Fridays.
Salary:
$15 per hour.
Hours:
Up to 19 hours per week with a monthly maximum of 79.5 hours per month.
This is a non-benefits eligible position.
