Sales Executive, New Business

Hotman Group LLC

Fort Worth, TX • Remote

Full-time

Re-posted 19 days ago

Key responsibilities

  • Own the new business pipeline end to end, including researching target companies, building prospect lists, and identifying decision-makers.

  • Execute outbound outreach through LinkedIn, email, phone, networking, and events to generate qualified meetings and move prospects through the sales process.

  • Qualify prospects, present proposals with Partners and SMEs, and secure signed SOWs to close deals.

Job description

Hotman Group is a boutique cybersecurity and GRC consulting firm. Our clients trust us with the compliance, risk, and documentation programs that keep their businesses secure and audit-ready. We are growing fast, our delivery team is exceptional, and our client retention is high.

What we need now is the person who goes out and finds the next client.

This is a pure hunting role. You will own new business development from first contact through signed contract. You will work alongside our Partners and subject matter experts to qualify, scope, and close deals. Once a client is won, you hand off to the delivery team and go find the next one.

If you are someone who gets more excited by the signed SOW than the first invoice, and who genuinely loves the work of creating a conversation out of nothing, read on.

What You Will Do

You will own the new business pipeline end to end, working within our defined sales process and in coordination with our Partners and SMEs:

  • Research target companies, build prospect lists, and identify the right decision-makers (primarily CISOs and heads of security at mid-market to lower enterprise organizations)
  • Execute consistent outbound through LinkedIn, email, phone, networking, and events, with messaging that reflects each prospect's actual pain points and context
  • Qualify prospects in or out based on our ICP and service fit
  • Move qualified deals through our sales process: qualification, scoping call, proposal co-presentation with a Partner and SME, and close
  • Field back-and-forth with the client through the Q&A and adjustments stage until you get to a verbal yes and signed SOW
  • Represent the Hotman Group brand in a way that is credible, consultative, and relationship-driven, never manipulative or high-pressure
  • Attend periodic partner and client events, including industry events in DFW and surrounding markets
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and weekly activity reporting in Pipedrive

This role is primarily focused on creating pipeline and booking qualified meetings. If you also have closing experience, that is a plus, but it is not required for success in this position.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, credible in outreach, and comfortable building momentum from scratch.

You may be a fit if you have:

  • Experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, or outbound prospecting
  • Confidence reaching out to new prospects and starting conversations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good judgment around messaging, tone, and follow-up
  • The ability to stay consistent and disciplined with outreach activity
  • Experience using a CRM such as Pipedrive or a similar platform
  • A professional, self-directed work style in a remote environment

Helpful but not required:

  • Experience selling or supporting services in cybersecurity, GRC, compliance, consulting, or B2B professional services
  • Familiarity with buying cycles in mid-market or enterprise technology or services
  • Existing relationships with security, IT, or compliance decision-makers

Compensation

This role can be structured as either a 1099 contract or a W2 position, depending on candidate fit and preference. Compensation includes a base (retainer for 1099, salary for W2) plus performance-based commission tied to closed revenue. The structure is designed to reward the behaviors we are asking for: new logos, active pipeline, and closed deals. No caps on commission.

Details will be discussed in the interview process.

Requirements
  • Located in the USA with permanent work authorization
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Reliable internet and a secure remote workspace
