Common challenges include managing fatigue, maintaining work-life balance, and staying alert during quieter hours. Employees can mitigate these challenges by establishing a consistent sleep routine, creating a restful sleep environment, and staying connected with coworkers and supervisors for support. Many organizations also provide resources and flexible scheduling to help employees adapt and succeed in this role.
