Job description

Position Summary

GraphTec, Inc. is seeking an experienced Lead Sign Installer to join our team. This role is responsible for the installation of high-end architectural signage, environmental graphics, ADA signage systems, vinyl graphics, and branded interior environments across healthcare, corporate, education, and commercial facilities.

This is a hands-on field leadership role for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, professionalism, accountability, and customer service. The ideal candidate can work independently with a helper, make sound field decisions, communicate professionally with clients, and take ownership of completing projects safely, accurately, and on schedule.

We are looking for an installer who understands that the quality of the installation is just as important as the quality of the product itself.

About GraphTec, Inc.

GraphTec, Inc. is a Houston-based custom architectural signage and environmental graphics company serving healthcare systems, corporate campuses, educational institutions, and large commercial organizations. We specialize in complex, detail-oriented signage and branding projects that require precision execution, professionalism, and strong coordination from fabrication through final installation.

Our team delivers high-profile custom projects in fast-paced environments where craftsmanship, accountability, and customer experience matter.

Responsibilities
  • Install interior ADA signage, dimensional letters, donor walls, vinyl graphics, wall coverings, and architectural/environmental graphics systems
  • Execute installations in occupied healthcare, corporate, and commercial environments with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Lead assigned installation projects independently with support from an install helper as needed
  • Coordinate field conditions and communicate effectively with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and facility representatives
  • Review installation drawings, site documentation, and material packages prior to installation
  • Verify materials, hardware, and equipment before mobilization
  • Operate ladders, lifts, hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot field conditions and make sound installation decisions while maintaining project quality standards
  • Complete punch lists, installation documentation, job photos, and field reports accurately and on time
  • Train and mentor junior installers on installation methods, professionalism, and safety expectations
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and operational condition
  • Travel as required for regional and multi-site installation projects
  • Work overtime, evenings, and weekends as required to support project schedules and client requirements
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of professional sign installation experience
  • Strong experience with architectural signage and environmental graphics installations required
  • Experience installing ADA signage, wall graphics, vinyl systems, dimensional lettering, and branded interior environments
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects from mobilization through completion
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in active healthcare, corporate, and commercial environments
  • Ability to read installation drawings, shop drawings, and project documentation
  • Experience operating standard installation equipment, lifts, and jobsite tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and field decision-making ability
  • Clean driving record required
  • Ability to lift, climb, work on ladders/lifts, and perform physical installation work throughout the day
  • Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and accountable
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly compensation based on experience
  • Per diem and travel-related compensation
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Stable long-term employment
  • Professional team environment
  • Opportunity to work on complex, high-profile projects throughout the region
Why Join GraphTec?

At GraphTec, you will work on custom projects that require precision, professionalism, and pride in execution. We are not a high-volume commodity sign shop — we specialize in detailed architectural and environmental graphics programs for demanding clients and environments.

We value installers who:

  • Take ownership
  • Communicate professionally
  • Solve problems in the field
  • Care about craftsmanship
  • Represent the company well on-site
  • Finish the job the right way

If that sounds like you, we want to talk.
