Job description

Spectrum Marketing Companies seeks an experienced graphic designer to join our award-winning in-house creative team! Experience with direct mail will be a significant plus. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the below functions with the utmost accuracy and attention to detail. If you are the type of person who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and likes to be busy, then we want to speak with you!
Job Functions - Here is what you will be doing:
  • Design a wide variety of projects and prepare files for print
  • Products will include direct mail, collateral materials and signage/POP
  • Design within strict brand guidelines for national accounts

Required Skills - Our successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in graphic design required with commercial printing experience highly preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in graphic design is preferred but equivalent experience considered
  • Strong working knowledge of MAC Platform CC2020 InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, Acrobat and MS Office. Lightroom, Fusion Pro and additional applications are a plus
  • Familiarity with preparing files for offset and digital printing
  • Exceptional grammar/spelling skills
  • Scrupulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure without compromising accuracy in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented; ability to multi-task
  • Ability to accurately proofread is highly desired
  • Experience with industry categories such as promotional retail, home improvement, non-profit and political preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to design for direct marketing, publications and promotional advertising preferred
  • Able to design for large format printing and vehicle wraps preferred
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of working as part of a team and independently
  • Positive, energetic, productive team player with the ability to take direction.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at desk
  • Significant periods of screen time
  • Fine motor skills for keyboarding, manipulating art work and copy
  • Ability to distinguish colors and shades
  • Oral communication in English (other language may be a 'plus')
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
