About the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic Graphic Design Intern to join our Brand Team. This role is designed for a developing creative who is eager to learn the ropes of a world-class brand, working closely with senior designers and art directors to bring the Twilio story to life across various touchpoints.

As a Graphic Design Intern at Twilio, you won't just be watching from the sidelines, you'll be an active contributor to our creative output. You will support the Brand Team by executing design tasks that range from social media assets and presentation decks to event signage and internal communications. This is a highly collaborative role where you will receive mentorship and feedback to help refine your craft in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support & execute: Assist Senior Designers and Art Directors in the production of high-quality visual assets for digital, social, and print platforms.
  • Maintain brand consistency: Learn and apply Twilio's brand guidelines rigorously, ensuring every piece of work, no matter how small, aligns with our visual identity.
  • Iterate & refine: Take direction and feedback from creative leads to iterate on designs, helping to move projects from concept to final delivery.
  • Production assistance: Prepare files for production, including resizing assets for various channels, styling presentations, and organizing creative libraries.
  • Collaborate: Participate in creative brainstorms and team meetings, bringing fresh perspectives and a "builder" mindset to the table.
Qualifications
  • Actively working on or have a Bachelor level degree in Graphic Design or 1-3 years of work experience in a design-related field
  • Foundational skills: A strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and composition.
  • Technical proficiency: Early mastery of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Attention to detail: An eagle eye for alignment, spelling, and brand accuracy.
  • Growth mindset: A hunger to learn, a positive attitude toward feedback, and the ability to manage multiple small tasks simultaneously.
  • Portfolio: A link to your portfolio or work samples that demonstrate your design thinking and execution (to submit on application).

Compensation


*Please note the salary range information provided applies only to candidates residing in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State due to local requirements. Compensation for candidates in other locations will be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that hiring for this role is not restricted to the locations listed above.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont, or Washington D.C.: $27.00/hourly
  • Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $28.00/hourly
  • The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
