Description:

We are seeking an experienced Production Graphics Manager to lead our Art Department in a fast-paced sign manufacturing environment. This position oversees artwork preparation, prepress workflow, digital print production support, and a team of designers and production artists.

The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with hands-on experience in large-format printing, sign manufacturing, and production workflow management. This individual will work closely with Sales, Production, and Installation teams to ensure projects move efficiently from concept to completion.

Requirements:


Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of graphic designers and production artists
  • Manage daily workflow, priorities, and departmental scheduling
  • Review and prepare production-ready artwork for large-format printing and finishing
  • Ensure files meet production specifications, including sizing, color accuracy, bleed, and cut requirements
  • Create and verify cut files for routing and contour-cutting equipment
  • Coordinate with Production, Sales, and Installation teams to meet deadlines and project requirements
  • Maintain organized file systems, version control, and job documentation
  • Troubleshoot artwork, prepress, and production issues
  • Establish and maintain quality standards throughout the production process
  • Train team members on software, equipment, and company procedures
  • Continuously improve workflow efficiency and department performance
QualificationsRequired
  • 5+ years of experience in sign manufacturing, large-format graphics, print production, or related industries
  • Leadership or supervisory experience managing teams and production workflow
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong understanding of large-format printing, laminating, and finishing processes
  • Experience preparing artwork for production and creating cut paths
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred
  • Experience with Flexi, PrintFactory, Onyx, Caldera, or similar production software
  • Familiarity with flatbed cutters, CNC routers, contour cutting systems, or similar equipment
