Job description

Univision is seeking a talented motion graphic designer based in Miami, proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects, detail-oriented, and strong communication skills. This individual will be a major contributor to the News Special Projects. Must be a true team-player, with an emphasis on quality and timeliness. This role performs a wide range of duties with a unique blend of design, animation, and client communication. Candidate most work well under pressure.
The successful candidate will be a strategic and creative thinker, a self-starter, and a collaborator, willing to learn and share ideas, to generate original content for the needs of the news division.
Most be flexible on the schedule, be willing to work nights and weekends as well as holidays. And be willing to report for duty on Breaking News coverages.
YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)
  • Service the needs for News Projects as assigned.
  • Ensure Projects are completed with high quality and delivered on schedule.
  • Effectively communicate concepts and ideas to the Manager and production team.
  • Collaborate with team members.
  • Work closely with producers, directors and graphics designers to incorporate design assets into motion graphics.
  • Manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.

YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)
  • Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in the field of motion graphic design.
  • Expert proficiency using industry software applications, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Cinema 4d.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Detail oriented, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with extremely tight deadlines.
  • Must have a current and evolving sense of design with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Creative problem solver with a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills are crucial.
  • Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment for multiple key stakeholders
  • Willingness to take feedback/criticism and improve upon skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish (read and write)
