DEPARTMENT: Maine Fire Service Institute
REPORTS TO: State Fire Administrator

DESCRIPTION:
This position will provide communications, applications and software support for MFSI, primarily related to transitioning Certification written/skills testing to a cloud-based system; and, successful promotion of MFSI events through the creation and dissemination of flyers and other marketing materials, including through social media and other graphic design projects. This role will coordinate with all MFSI affiliates and partner agencies, as well as participate in the college-wide Data Governance System. Position responsibilities will also include data input and analysis, and the creation of reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field
  • Three years' experience in Professional Office Setting, graphic design, and social media
  • Administrative support or office management experience in higher education

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Knowledge and ability to provide communications and software support.
  • Ability to design flyers, marketing materials, and other graphic design projects.
  • Success in creating and analyzing reports and inputting data.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize; and excellent problem solving skills.
