Job description

About the Role

Format Press is looking for a talented and intelligent Graphic Designer who combines strong design execution with creativity, commercial judgment, and an understanding of how design functions in a client-driven environment.

This role goes beyond making things look attractive. Our designers create materials that healthcare organizations actually use—from brochures and presentations to event materials, promotional-product concepts, gifting presentations, and branded collateral.

We are looking for someone who can understand a client's brand, think creatively within that brand, and present polished options rather than simply execute instructions.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design

  • Design brochures, flyers, presentations, marketing collateral, event materials, signage, print pieces, and other client-facing assets.
  • Work within existing brand guidelines while finding ways to make the work fresh, polished, and effective.
  • Adapt designs across different sizes, formats, locations, and applications.
  • Prepare production-ready files accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain consistency across client materials.

Promotional Products & Gifting

  • Create polished promotional-product and gifting mockups.
  • Develop visual concepts showing clients how their branding can be applied across different items.
  • Create options and variations based on client objectives, events, audiences, and budgets.
  • Work with the Promo and Creative teams to turn product selections into compelling client presentations.

Creative Thinking

  • Interpret briefs rather than simply following them mechanically.
  • Develop multiple thoughtful design directions when appropriate.
  • Understand hierarchy, typography, composition, branding, and presentation.
  • Ask intelligent questions when a request is unclear or when a stronger creative solution may exist.
  • Balance creativity with commercial practicality and client needs.

Qualifications

  • Professional graphic design experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Strong typography and layout skills.
  • Experience designing brochures, presentations, flyers, and other marketing collateral.
  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Strong visual judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accept creative direction and feedback without becoming overly attached to a concept.
  • Intelligent, curious, and capable of understanding the strategy behind a project.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Strongly Preferred

Experience in either of the following is a significant advantage:

  • Nursing home, senior living, healthcare, or healthcare marketing.
  • Promotional products, corporate gifting, branded merchandise, apparel, or print.

Experience creating realistic promotional-product mockups and client presentations is particularly valuabl

Format Press is a powerhouse in healthcare marketing and printing, setting benchmarks for precision and scalability.
