About the Role

Were looking for a Graphic Design Intern or Contract Designer to support Nanoleafs Graphic Designer and marketing team with day-to-day creative production (see more below for role type details).


This role is focused on digital content creation, including website banners, homepage graphics, email newsletter assets, social media graphics, product listing visuals, and promotional campaign materials. Youll help bring Nanoleaf campaigns to life by creating clean, on-brand, production-ready assets across digital channels.


This is a great opportunity for a junior designer, recent graduate, or early-career freelancer who wants hands-on experience working with a global consumer technology brand.


This is ahybrid role that requires you to be in the Toronto office, onsite, two (2) times week so you must be local to the GTA/have the ability to commute into TO HQ.


This role reports to and supports Nanoleafs Graphic Designer, working closely with the marketing team on digital content, campaign creative, and production design tasks.


What You'll Do

Digital & Website Content

  • Design homepage banners, website graphics, landing page visuals, and promotional content.
  • Support updates to digital campaign assets across Nanoleafs website and e-commerce channels.
  • Resize, adapt, and optimize assets for different web placements and formats.
  • Assist with Shopify-related visual content updates where needed.


Email & Marketing Campaigns

  • Create graphics for email newsletters, product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Adapt campaign visuals into multiple dimensions and formats.
  • Ensure email and digital assets are visually consistent, clear, and on-brand.


Social & Digital Advertising Support

  • Create social media graphics, paid media assets, display ads, and partner marketing visuals.
  • Repurpose existing creative into platform-specific formats.
  • Support quick-turnaround content requests for marketing campaigns.


Production & Asset Support

  • Prepare, organize, and export design files for internal and external use.
  • Retouch, crop, resize, and format product images as needed.
  • Maintain organized working files and follow naming/versioning conventions.
  • Help keep Nanoleafs internal image and asset library organized.


Brand Consistency

  • Work within Nanoleafs visual identity and brand guidelines.
  • Support the Graphic Designer in maintaining consistent design, tone, and layout across channels.
  • Review assets carefully for alignment, spacing, typography, and visual accuracy before delivery.

What You Bring

  • Portfolio showing digital design, web graphics, email, social media, or marketing content work
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Familiarity with Figma
  • Strong eye for layout, typography, composition, and visual hierarchy
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines
  • Ability to manage multiple creative tasks and deadlines
  • Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience designing email newsletter graphics
  • Familiarity with Shopify or e-commerce content
  • Basic understanding of digital asset specifications and responsive design
  • Experience with motion graphics, GIFs, or short-form animated content
  • Interest in smart home, consumer tech, interior design, or lifestyle branding
  • Mandarin Chinese language skills are an asset but not required
