Marketing and Communications Specialist I Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting the MarCom team to ensure the professional, efficient, and effective daily operations of the department.

  • Understand the key messages and direction of each deliverable and translate this information into compelling visuals to ensure easy comprehension.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve brand consistency and reputational enhancement message coordination across multiple platforms.
  • Assist with developing original and compelling content, coordinating information, interviewing subject matter experts, and conducting the research to write and compile information to use in newsletters, online content, press releases, advertising, social media, blogs, and presentations.
  • Support design tasks to create collateral, templates, brochures, posters, newsletters, advertising, logos, social media graphics, blog design, case study design, and PowerPoint presentations to assist in developing the companyโ€™s brand.
  • Create, edit, organize, and post content for video, print, and internal and external digital application (including the companyโ€™s intranet, external website, mobile app, and social media platforms).
  • Organize, edit and contribute to the companyโ€™s online photo and graphics repository.
  • Apply brand standards in all marketing, communications, and graphics to maintain consistency of all marketingโ€‘related materials.
  • Travel to job sites to capture photos and videos of projects, review photography, retouch as needed, and perform color correction to ensure the highest visual standard.
  • Perform general maintenance and upkeep to the intranet and external website, including posting press releases and other relevant content to ensure pages are current and accurate.
  • Coordinate and perform daily administrative functions such as coding, processing, and tracking invoices to ensure charges are accounted for.
  • Organize the submittal process for industry achievements and awards to ensure alignment with and support of the companyโ€™s marketing strategic plan.
