This role sits at the intersection of design, storytelling, marketing, and business development. We are looking for someone with a strong visual eye who understands the unique qualities of a project, team, or approach and can translate that understanding into persuasive proposals, presentations, graphics, and other marketing materials.

Candidates with a background in marketing or communications or with a background in architecture, interior design, or other design disciplines with strong graphic communication skills and an interest in marketing and business development are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate has:

  • A strong eye for graphic design, composition, typography, imagery, and visual storytelling.
  • The ability to understand a project, client, or pursuit strategy; shape ideas into a clear, compelling, authentic story; select applicable project imagery; and develop supporting graphics and diagrams.
  • Genuine interest in architecture, design, marketing, and business development.
  • Curiosity, drive, initiative, creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
  • A willingness to ask questions, seek context, and dig deeper to understand the core essence of a project, pursuit, or story.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines at once, anticipate what is needed, and confidently keep efforts moving forward by following up with business development leaders, the marketing manager, and project leaders for content and decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, highly creative environment.
  • A desire to continually improve the quality of the work and how it gets done.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Developing and producing proposals in response to RFPs and preparing presentation materials for new business pursuits.
  • Working with business development leaders and the marketing manager to understand pursuit strategies and potential client priorities and helping to shape the content that will position us to win work that meets our strategic goals.
  • Selecting project images, precedents, and other content and developing graphics, diagrams, and layouts to convey our message.
  • Managing multiple proposal schedules and tight deadlines simultaneously and proactively following up with contributors to keep work progressing forward.
  • Leading the firm's awards submission program.
  • Managing the firm's digital asset management system that houses our image library.
  • Maintaining the company website and creating and sharing social media content.
  • Coordinating project photography shoots.
  • Maintaining MSR Design's visual identity and graphic standards across print and digital materials.
  • Assisting with CRM and marketing database maintenance and reporting.

Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, is required. Experience with Microsoft 365 programs and digital asset management, CRM, CMS, social media, and AI-enabled marketing tools are preferred.

Experience working in an architecture, interior design, or related design environment is highly valued. A bachelor's degree in graphic design, architecture, interior design, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
