Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain user-facing software applications supporting national security missions.
  • Build responsive, intuitive, and mission-focused user interfaces using modern web technologies and GUI frameworks.
  • Translate operational and user requirements into clean, intuitive, and effective UI/UX solutions.
  • Develop reusable UI components, application workflows, dashboards, and interactive data visualizations.
  • Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, databases, analytics platforms, and mission systems.
  • Work closely with engineers, analysts, and mission users to understand workflows and improve the usability and effectiveness of software tools.
  • Develop and maintain supporting backend services and APIs as needed to enable front-end functionality.
  • Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, reliability, accessibility, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve UI, integration, and application-level defects across the software stack.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture and design discussions, Agile development activities, and collaborative development.
  • Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Support deployment and operation of applications in Linux-based environments.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Professional experience developing user-facing software applications, web applications, or graphical user interfaces.
  • Experience with modern front-end development technologies, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Experience developing responsive and interactive user interfaces.
  • Experience integrating user interfaces with RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Experience developing software applications using Python.
  • Familiarity with Git or similar source control systems and collaborative software development workflows.
  • Experience working in Linux development environments.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, debugging, and application design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to translate user and operational requirements into effective software solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Compensation: The salary range is $70,000 to $190,000; however, NASK Incorporated considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role and responsibilities, work experience, education, training, certifications, geographic location, and market data.
