The Architectural & Graphic Designer is responsible for participating in the creative vision and design excellence of the firm. This significant role ensures the delivery of innovative, high-quality architectural and design solutions that align with the firm's mission and client expectations. Along with strong graphic skills, this position requires collaboration with project teams, clients, and leadership to establish design strategies and maintain a culture of creativity and innovation. 


 Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with the Studio Fritz team to create compelling architectural visualizations, graphics, and design assets that support projects, clients, and firm initiatives.
  • Transform complex architectural, engineering, and planning concepts into clear, engaging visual communications for internal and external audiences
  • Help maintain and evolve RLF's visual identity, brand standards, and graphic design systems across digital and print platforms.
  • Design client-facing deliverables, including project narratives, infographics, signage, branding, and environmental graphics.
  • Collaborate directly with both team and clients to understand project vision, goals, constraints, and user experience, translating feedback into thoughtful design solutions.
  • Support proposal development, interviews, presentations, and pursuit materials with impactful visual storytelling and presentation graphics.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and attention to detail across all graphic, branding, and visualization deliverables.
  • Represent RLF and Studio Fritz in client meetings, design reviews, community engagement events, and professional organizations, as appropriate.
  • Develop 3D renderings to a high standard of excellence and provide support in modeling.
  • Create and execute impactful design solutions that elevate the overall client experience and drives business success.
  • Leverage emerging visualization and AI-assisted design tools, where appropriate, to enhance creativity, improve efficiency, and support high-quality client deliverables.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and creative direction of Studio Fritz by advancing innovative approaches to architectural visualization, graphic communication, and experiential design.
  • Foster a collaborative, creative, and solutions-oriented approach while contributing to the continued growth and evolution of Studio Fritz.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field from an accredited college or university strongly preferred. An associate degree combined with relevant professional experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in architectural design and graphic design.
  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Design (AEC) industry strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, organization, attention to detail, and quality in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional creativity and innovative and high-quality design work. Submitted portfolio required to be considered .
  • Effectively work with internal project teams to deliver creative solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Revit, Lumion, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Enscape. Microsoft 365 experience with an emphasis on PowerPoint.
  • Ability to balance creativity with technical and financial feasibility.
  • Experience working with diverse project types, including private healthcare and federal.
  • Experience with 3D, motion graphics, web design, or video editing is a plus.
  • Flexibility in scheduling or work hours to support client expectations, project milestones and team deliverables.

Amount of Travel Required:

This position will require occasional travel, some of which may be international.
