The Graphic Designer must show competency in areas of typography, layout, production, photo selection, and technical ability.
Responsibilities
- Visually communicates the key messages of the company, its brands, and products.
- Ability to produce work in compliance with existing brand guidelines.
- Strong understanding of typographic principles.
- Works collaboratively with writers, photographers, and design team.
- Regularly presents work to Associate Creative Director and Creative Director.
- Takes ownership of projects.
- Is a life-long learner, and a relevant, career designer; stays up-to-date on industry standards, trends, and best practices.
- Sharp attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of prepress, and printing processes, and ability to produce print-ready files.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with files and equipment.
- Competency and experience with the Mac OS and Adobe Creative Suite.
Qualifications
- Strong design portfolio that exhibits not only a passion for high-quality graphic design, but also an understanding of marketing and effective communications.
- Portfolio work that demonstrates critical thinking skills, both creatively, and strategically.
- Formal education in graphic design recommended.
