Job Location: Q Office - Quantico, VA 22134Education Level: Bachelor's Degree*This position is contingent on contract award*

Job purpose

The Graphic Arts Specialist develops graphics, multimedia products, imagery, and user interfaces that support CDET learning objectives, asynchronous courseware, and marketing and outreach initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Advise the SMEs and Instructional System Designers (ISDs) on graphic strategies to achieve learning outcomes and objectives.
  • Develop graphics that support instructional validity and technical performance for asynchronous, self-paced delivery via MarineNet and or MOODLE.
  • Coordinate with Headquarters Marine Corps Public Affairs Office and TECOM ComStart Branch in imagery and video collection efforts.
  • Develop graphics and multimedia for CDET marketing and outreach programs.
  • Capture image and photo products from the Marine Corps Imagery Resource Center, TECOM Combat Camera Branch, the World Wide Web (WWW) and other searchable image databases.
  • Provide photographic and video-graphic technical expertise for the development or evaluation of courseware.
  • Design and develop graphical user interfaces for LMS-based, stand-alone and mobile courseware applications.
  • Attend initial project meetings for courseware requiring still or motion photography.
  • Capture and edit video and audio and work with Adobe products to integrate interactive multimedia elements.
Qualifications
  • An Associate's degree and two (2) additional years' experience, may be substituted if the professional lacks a Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with professional graphic-design, image-editing, multimedia, and user-interface development tools.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, Digital Media, Multimedia Design, or a related field.

Years of Relative Work Experience:
  • Five (5) years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Experience creating digital and print graphics for educational, government, or corporate clients.
Clearance:
  • Minimum Tier 1 background investigation and Government-access eligibility are required; an active Secret clearance is required before supporting classified events or tasks.
