Are you a passionate and creative graphic designer looking to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of sports and entertainment? The Sherman Shadowcats are seeking a talented Graphic Design Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our brand identity, engage with our fanbase, and develop your skills in a fast-paced professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop compelling visual content for various digital and print platforms, including social media, website, and in-venue displays.
  • Design engaging graphics for social media campaigns, player announcements, and game day promotions.
  • Create professional sponsorship materials and presentations that effectively communicate value to partners.
  • Assist in the creation of ticketing graphics, promotional flyers, and other marketing collateral.
  • Contribute to the conceptualization and design of theme night visuals and special event branding.
  • Design and update website graphics and other digital assets to maintain a fresh and engaging online presence.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to ensure all visual assets align with the Sherman Shadowcats brand guidelines and overall strategy.
  • Support the design needs for the 2027 schedule release and other key organizational initiatives.
  • Undertake other design-related tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall visual success of the organization.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/certificate in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant design projects (academic or personal).
  • Passion for sports and a basic understanding of the sports industry is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
