Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Grain Elevator Operations Assistant and be a vital part of the agricultural supply chain! In this energetic role, you will support the efficient handling, storage, and transportation of grain products.

Responsibilities

  • Operate material handling equipment such as conveyors, loaders, and forklifts safely and efficiently to move grain and other bulk materials.
  • Assist with the manual handling of grain bags, pallets, and other supplies, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
  • Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Support grain loading and unloading processes by coordinating with team members and monitoring quality control standards.
  • Follow strict safety protocols during all operations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety procedures in food processing environments.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory levels, and equipment usage for operational tracking.
  • Participate in cleaning duties and ensure the work area remains organized, safe, and compliant with safety standards in production environments.

Experience

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physical fitness is important for manual handling tasks.
  • Basic math skills for measuring quantities, reading gauges, and recording data accurately.
  • Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including safety protocol adherence and equipment maintenance practices.
